Step 1: Choose Your Exam Centre and Date
Most candidates apply through the British Council, Cambridge English authorised centres, or partner institutions. You’ll select:
- Country and city — major Indian centres include Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, and Ahmedabad. Smaller cities may have limited dates.
- Exam date — paper-based and computer-based options. Computer-based results come faster (typically 2–3 weeks vs 4–6 weeks for paper).

- Gender — as per ID.
- Address — use your current residential address. The centre may send confirmation documents here.
- Phone number — include country code (+91 for India).

Common rejection reason: Name mismatch. Even one character difference between your form and ID will cause a rejection.
Step 3: Education and Occupation (Optional but Recommended)
